1 John 3
17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

We talked about this that the best we can contribute to street people is charity, Because as individuals we can only give them so much. You give this beggar money, then you see another one and another one. Sometimes you do not give people money cause your finances not good. Or most people will think that there are people who would give money to these people.

In helping them with charity, which in essence is media in the Bible, we educate people to follow the Doctrines of the Bible so they can help themselves and help others eventually.

For temporary and sometimes permanent help, we have here the DSWD the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Orphanages, Gawad Kalinga and many charitable institutions to take care of these street people.

Matthew 19

Matthew 19

The verses mean when you found the right one and you marry, you leave your parents, your friends and the life, the fun and activities you had when you are still single.

People we must not mis-understand Matthew 19:16-22. It just means when you find someone other than Jesus who has great qualities and you love him, then go for him. I hope you guys understand the implication to religions. My gut feel is that the young man who questioned Jesus is a Buddhist. It follows that he went away happily as well cause he found a like-minded spirit.

Jesus as an Adviser

Ephesians 4

7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

Saint Paul is speaking here to the Church in Ephesians and tells the members that they humbly, patiently and respectfully follow Simon Peter whom Saint Paul refers to here as the Lord because the previous Lord Jesus has retired and has given to them task according to their skills. We talked Jesus intending to give the keys to Simon Peter in the past. However Jesus still works as an Adviser, not only to them but to other organizations as well. Jesus makes criticisms and suggestions for the important positions and issues. Like in a country, the Apostles works as the Judiciary and staff, the Prophets are the Lawmakers - Senate and Congress, the Evangelists are the Ambassadors, and the Pastors and Teachers are the Governors and Mayors. Saint Paul encourages them to do their work, holding on to their doctrines honestly, strongly and wisely so that they contribute to the development of the organization. With regards to Simon Peter, he is also described as the One God and Father of all which makes him a bachelor at the time. Whether Simon Peter marries is up for evidence.

Navy Seal Fitness

Okay these exercises are all you need if you white-collar worker. People not supposed to be fat and lethargic. Otherwise if you are professional athlete you follow your routines or feel free to add these. If your work is manual labor, its better for you to rest and occasionally exercise.

The Pull-up
Look for anything that serves this purpose like beams, stairs or door jambs if nothing else. As you can see, the arms wide and the toes on the chair so the weight is distributed. Wear shoes. Alternatively, you can use dumbbells. Make your progress gradual. Start with one (1) pull-up each. Don't be arrogant as to make as many pull-ups as possible. The soreness will come at the end of the day. As to warm-up exercises, follow what you are accustomed to.

The Push-up

We have four types - the regular, wide, triceps and the dive bomber. I must say my favorite is the dive bomber. It resembles a bomber dropping a bomb. Like I said, make your progress gradual. Start with a 1-2-1 count meaning one push-up, rest a sec then two push-ups, rest again and one more push-up for that type. I depends on how you feel at the moment. I think my max is at 4-4-4 on doing all the types. As in the pull-up, the dumbbell and the barbell and other machines serve same purpose.

During the start-up period just have faith and persevere cause trust me I know what I am talking about. Do the full routine at least two times a week and any of the exercises whenever you feel like it and you have the time. You never see the results quickly but in a month or two, you see and feel the difference.

For a complete fitness, you have to have cardio workout so walk, jog or run. I prefer walking and sometimes brisk-walking. Why would I run? I'm not training to be a pro athlete. But seriously you need variety. Like running for marathons is for the endurance. That is well and good but you need the 100, 200 and 400-meter runs for better reflexes.  

Ecclesiastes 10
10 If the axe is dull and he does not sharpen its edge, then he must exert more strength. Wisdom has the advantage of giving success.

This is true for both the physical and the spiritual. Physically-fit people gives the aura of intelligence, warmth and success. Which is sometimes true, sometimes not. As we said the spiritual is our main concern, if your brain is dull, weak and corrupted, you are a failure. So people should get educated, follow the doctrines of the Bible and go into perfection.

Matthew 16
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Those who are dull, weak and corrupted do not have the key to understand this exercise. When you're in the gym, you have to have gym clothes.

I'm not saying all girls dress the same as in the singer as in the video. The Bible says dress in modest apparel. This is to protect you from people who have evil intentions. Also people will have a bad impression on you when you dress immodestly. But not so bad than if you have immodest character.

The spiritual is what we are after, says the Bible so do not judge people quickly in terms of their clothing. In this same manner, listen to people regardless of their age, weight, sexuality, height, gender, skin color, religion and country. Respect begets respect. Its the Golden rule. The song has great message and melody or what?

When you see something evil, get away from it. When you see something good and then you proven it corrupted, get away from it.

Galatians 5

When there is no love, it is the lust for flesh. When you are led of the Spirit, it is love not lust. So do not walk for the flesh. Walk in the Spirit, which is follow the guidelines of the Bible, so you will have love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, meekness and temperance.

I think temperance in the Bible refers to things, habits and activities that can destroy your life - gambling, collecting things, drinking, luxury, jewelry and the kind. Try these things because it does not have the appearance of evil. However, practice self-control.

Snow White and the Huntsman

I think Snow White is also the Queen. Snow White just got old. So one day, Snow White was surprised when she looked at the mirror and reminisces the time she was young and the time she met the Prince. The Prince is none other than the Huntsman whom the Queen asked to kill Snow White. The Prince became the King who is telling his wife the Queen to let it go. The seven dwarfs are the emotions of Snow White - Doc, Happy, Bashful, Sneezy, Sleepy, Grumpy and Dopey (mute). Similar to Pixar's Inside Out.

Marrying in the Church

Ephesians 5
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. We marry at the Church, or at the Chapel for more private people, because the couple is happy with each other and they are proud to announce their love to the world and for their loved ones, friends and relatives to witness their love for each other. The witnesses also makes for more discipline because they are accountable to these people for the vow they make. There won't be spots, wrinkles, or such thing because the marriage is announced in advance through the Church, their loved ones, friends, relatives and other forms of media. About one month in advance I think so there is enough time for a reality check and background investigation. With the announcement, there might be existing husband or wife so the person has the right to object to the marriage. At the wedding, the priest also asks whoever is opposed to the marriage. For this reason, secret marriages and civil wedding is not favorable.

Everyone should have a friend. However the Bible is clear that marriage is from God. It is given. Eunuchs are not to receive marriage. That is their yoke or a load to carry. Men their load is to lead people and to protect women, the weaker vessels. Women their primary role is to bear children but they can lead people and can protect people also as long as they have the qualifications. And I think the weakest vessels are the Eunuchs. Because they are vulnerable to the lust of the flesh. This is why same-sex marriage and their sexual acts should be strictly prohibited. This law of not marrying is designed to protect Eunuchs.

Doctrines of the Bible

These are the foundations or guidelines your church or organization must have:

I. Education, Sports and Entertainment

Matthew 6
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 

What things? You earn money cause you get educated and/or you use the God given talent. You have a career so you get food, drinks, clothing and things you need in this life like more friends, hobbies, marriage, house, material possessions. Most importantly you will have peace of mind, contentment and happiness.

31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

However you must guard yourself on too much spending, addiction to drugs and alcohol and hurtful lusts that destroys you and your family and friends.

      a.) No fixed marriage, No retarded or insane people, Concubinage, Adultery, Battery because                   there is no love here. For existing marriages these are grounds for divorce.
      b.) No discrimination. When two people are in love, it does not matter what religion or country.              Anything or anyone against that is against the will of God.

Marriage is only between a male and a female. There are eunuchs born naturally and others man-made and there would be eunuchs because they are scholars of knowledge. Eunuchs has castrated private organs and is symbolic that you will not have a partner or sexual relations. And because you have free will, you can choose to be unholy dogs and stupid pigs. Its better you choose what God has commanded of you. Which is to join the Night's watch.

IV. Leadership

1 Timothy 3
1 This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.    2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; 4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; 5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) 6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. 7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

These are requirements, can be applied to leader of a company up to leader of a country. If you compare below, the leader has stricter qualifications than that of the deacons or staff described below. I think this also applies to the Ombudsman office which should have stricter qualifications. You see the leader shall not be a novice and not too arrogant or else the leader will be condemned by critics neither the leader shall be too humble or else the leader will be reproached by critics. If does not necessarily have to be a man also because we have discussed in the past that there are women leaders.

8 Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre; 9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.
10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless. 11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things. 12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. 13 For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.

The difference is the leader is sober and the staff are little intoxicated. I think this means the leader should be smarter than the staff. And the staff shall support the leader.

14 These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly: 15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. 16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

And so the writer sent this letter cause he cannot supervise personally the happenings so that the people will have guidelines in choosing a leader. Verse 15 the foundation and the pillars were built. And Verse 16 the completion of all the activities for the house.

Okay it says in Corinthians that men leads in almost all fields of endeavor and in causes that a woman leads, she should have a power on her head because of the angels. A sign from angels which is nothing supernatural but in 1st Timothy verse, it describes the qualities of a quality leader. If you see the qualities underlined above in the woman candidate as compared to others then that is the sign we are looking for.

Hebrews 6

Traditions are allowed in the Bible because humans can relate most to fellow humans. Do not lay again the foundation means do not change or go over or under or around the Doctrines of the Bible. You shall build on the foundation listed above because the foundation is a rock that can withstand the forces of nature.

Mission of Man

I think the early Christians are writers, philosophers, doctors, builders, lawyers, musicians, carpenters, masons, trades people, athletes and other professionals who built an organization to help the poor. Most probably Jesus is a jack of all trades so to speak so he has knowledge in many fields. And considering his father is a carpenter, he inherited that skill also and that he was involved not only in founding the church figuratively but also literally. Organizations like Habitat for Humanity, World Without Boundaries and locally here we also have the PAO (Philippine Attorneys Office) which provides free consultations about the law, Gawad Kalinga, Doctor to the Barrios, Home for the Aged among others - these are from God. This is a Christian song I know from my Catholic school.

Who does not want to hear "I love you" being said to them repeatedly? I think God does not hear the praises of those fake people or He does not approve of them so their praises are useless. But coming from His followers, the repeated praises of affection are most welcome.

Life Pro Tips

Brush. Its been my habit to clean gadgets with these. Previously the walkman but nowadays this applies to keyboards and mobile phones as well cause you need to open and clean the insides occasionally.

Underwear. When you live alone, you wash at least one underwear daily so you can have clean underwears everyday. I know you can send your clothes to the washers but this is a good suggestion. Trust me on this.

Workout. Get yourself this book. This is like my Bible for fitness. You don't have to try all but instead make your own routine. You can do this workout basically anytime and anywhere. I usually do my routine at least two times a week with crunches, push ups and pull ups. Of course you can also use weights for variety.

Strawberries. You have to grind the seeds with your teeth to release the nutrients.

Honey. From my observation, its pure honey when it does not attract ants or else sugar might have been added to it. Also honey does not spoil. You know guys I've been thinking. When Sherlock Holmes retired to a bee farm, the writer Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is implying that Sherlock has found his honey. He marries after all. My guess is the girl Irene Adler who engaged him in the story "A Scandal in Bohemia". Its possible that Irene has cameos in the follow up stories so I need to read it again.

This incident in Doyle's life is described in the The Adventure of the Sussex Vampire where a woman is mistakenly apprehended for being a vampire and the police separates her from her newly born baby. Her husband has a deformed son who is jealous of the perfect figure of the baby. Sherlock recommends to send the young son for a change of surrounding. Doyle here is the Sussex Vampire, his sick wife is the deformed son and the baby is Doyle's new love. Doyle is also Sherlock. And Doctor Watson as well, a reminder of his younger self.

When you seek the kingdom of God or knowledge, you become educated because you study and/or you develop the talent God has given you. Like we said, the Bible has layered meanings. People we have different relationships like there is friendship, courtship, family, mentoring and fanboying or fangirling.

I was just thinking cause I read somewhere there are theories whether someone or something put the moon in orbit because the moon is responsible for the push and pull of oceans. So you see when Simon Peter presented the answer, Jesus knows that the Father has blessed Simon Peter with wisdom. Jesus is the foundation and also the place they were at the time, Caesarea Philippi, an ancient Roman city.

What I am saying is that the religions are the same in spirit. We just have to see the similarities than the differences which are negligible because every people have their own identity. In spite of these differences in point of view, clothes, language among others, people generally get along with each other.

What I am talking about here is the marriage of ideas - In the Bible, the verse that says "Seek the kingdom of God and all of these things shall be added unto you" have the same essence with the Muslim "Jihad" which is to search knowledge and you shall have rewards...

It is also written that Jesus said to Simon Peter that the latter will deny him 3 times when Jesus was being persecuted or scrutinized by the good cops and the bad cops because Jesus was courting the special woman. I known them for a quite a while and they been attacking the Catholics. When I made this blog, I am interested in what they have to say about this since I know one of my university classmate is a member. Congregating is also when people of influence are doing good for the population. Be wise as serpents in the midst of wolves. The serpent has poison in its fangs so that is a warning to the wolves. When you have found the kingdom of God and become educated or you developed the talent God has given you, you now have the tools to be successful. Then you become politicians, leaders in all kind, athletes and celebrities. Criticisms will always be there but if you hold on to your good values and talent, you will not get bankrupt. When listening to people, listen if they are speaking of wisdom regardless of age. Kids can teach you a lesson. An adult can teach you a lesson. Rich and poor people teaches you a lesson. Religions and countries teaches you a lesson. So see things in perspective.

And Matthew refers to doves which are flying free. They see the lands below which gives them a good perspective. Narrow-minded people are doves in cages or pigeon-holes.

Another meaning of the serpent is the symbol for medicine. Be like a serpent who heals. Share encouragement, criticism and love that heals.

Footprints in the Sand

One night I dreamed a dream.

As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.

Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.

I looked back at the footprints in the sand.

"Lord, you said once I decided to follow you,

But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life,

Never, ever, during your trials and testings.

When you saw only one set of footprints,

God is love. Anyone who shown you love at the saddest and most troublesome times of your life is your savior. But do not go away from the guidelines of the Bible for there are many kinds of love. Marrying is between a man and a woman only. The trials I will give you are easy because time flies. You can be a good citizen without marrying.

Let us be saviors to those who need saving.

Here, God now knows that Abraham would obey his command even if it means killing his beloved son, because not even God knows what is it in the hearts of people. Like going to hell and back if its for the glory of God. We have free will so until you choose something then God does not know it. So I guess God is not omnipotent or all-knowing. But now that Abraham has proven he follows God, stop it already. Because God said so. Lets say an attractive person naturally draws attention not just the opposite sex but devils as well. Do not entertain the malicious works of homosexuals because not only they are disgusting. They also corrupt people. And the Bible says depart from all appearances of evil. That is why I do not see them as good role-models and leaders.

I would do anything for love but I won't do that. There are limits like what the song conveys. The Bible is that limit. Like the sexual acts in the video, do not do that because sex is between a man and a woman only.

The Bible is fair but firm, God created man and woman. What homosexuals have are demons. These are the demons inside humans - lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy and pride. If you have lots of these demons in you, how can you be a good role-model? My advice to homosexuals, if you cannot contain your demons, stay single. You are also made in the image of God meaning you know what is good but you cannot get rid of them. Of course its hard to discipline yourself, so people have to discipline you or give you hell. That said, we should equally give hell to these people who have other demons or sins or corruptions mentioned above. Lets us all criticize and reprimand each other to displace sins.

And return to innocence.
