1 John 3
17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

We talked about this that the best we can contribute to street people is charity, Because as individuals we can only give them so much. You give this beggar money, then you see another one and another one. Sometimes you do not give people money cause your finances not good. Or most people will think that there are people who would give money to these people.

In helping them with charity, which in essence is media in the Bible, we educate people to follow the Doctrines of the Bible so they can help themselves and help others eventually.

For temporary and sometimes permanent help, we have here the DSWD the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Orphanages, Gawad Kalinga and many charitable institutions to take care of these street people.

Matthew 19
16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? 21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. 22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

Matthew 19
4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read , that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 5 And said , For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be * one flesh? 6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together , let not man put asunder. 

The verses mean when you found the right one and you marry, you leave your parents, your friends and the life, the fun and activities you had when you are still single.

People we must not mis-understand Matthew 19:16-22. It just means when you find someone other than Jesus who has great qualities and you love him, then go for him. I hope you guys understand the implication to religions. My gut feel is that the young man who questioned Jesus is a Buddhist. It follows that he went away happily as well cause he found a like-minded spirit.
