Q & A

This is to answer a brother:

I do not make the sign of the cross. I do not see the need for it because in Matthew below, the Father already know the things you need. What you need to do is work hard so that God will give it to you. Like I said, I am free to do whatever I want in this religion. Free to speak my mind. My relationship is with the Father to whom I pray. Praying for me is like meditating and studying.

By definition from merriam-webster, meditation is the act or process of spending time in quiet thought. What do you do when you study knowledge? Yes, go to the library where there is quiet. The other senses must also be satisfied before studying. One's eyes must be focused on the book only, no foul smells, no other people bothering you physically and you are well-fed. Otherwise the mind will be distracted. See those guys studying at the coffee shops or the synagogues where they can be seen by men. Of course I also enjoy the ambience at the coffee shop to collect my thoughts but the ideal studying place is where you can satisfy all the senses be it the library, your room and etcetera. If you do that, you will find the understanding of knowledge.

Praying is supposed to be one on one with the Father. No one hacking your writing. But I guess in teaching the people, you have to show the manner of praying like in Matthew 9. It does not mean you repeat the prayer below because your relationship with your Father is not the same as mine.

Okay when you praise someone, tell her that she is beautiful.
Luke 14
8 When thou art bidden of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest a more honourable man than thou be bidden of him; 9 And he that bade thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room. 10 But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee. 11 For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
Matthew 6
5 When you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. 6"But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
The Bible teaches us to be level-headed, not too arrogant nor too humble. In Matthew, when you speak from the heart my opinion is that its good to speak of praises however repetitive they are. And criticize for that matter. When deserving and at the right time. I can be a fool sometimes.

Proverbs 31:3 Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.
Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
1 Peter 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
