Jesus lived on

Let us read the verses on the death of Jesus in the cross:

1 Corinthians 15:4And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Matthew 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

I think the three days are just symbolic. The third day is elderhood. Similar to the phases of life according to the riddle of the sphinx: "What creature walks on four legs in the morning, two legs at noon and three in the evening". The answer of course is man. 1. Childhood, 2. adulthood, 3. elderhood. Jesus rises on the third day which means he lived on from elderhood onward. Up to what age we cannot tell because it just said phases.
