I would say addiction to gambling is bad but if you bet for fun and you can afford it, why not? I occasionally bet on teams I evaluated cause it is fun and exciting. I think casinos are like malls and probably I just enjoy strolling there and put some coins in the slot machines. And the blackjack and the poker game. You see these are games of strategies, its a form of mental exercise. However if you bet on all contenders, its not funny. No fun at all really.
As for the rich who became rich because of corruption like in Heisenberg from Breaking Bad, get rid of the bad works. The camel goes through the eye of the needle if the bad works are cremated.
In the Bible there are pagans who do the works of God without hearing the word of God. Because the good works are written in their hearts. They have in their conscience to do what is right. And they have made full use of the talents from God. We should not judge them for being rich.
1 Timothy 6You see, this is about excessive gambling and other vices which drives you to destruction or bankruptcy. Avoid being addicted to gambling. Do things in moderation and within your budget. If it hurts your budget and your life and relations, then go away from the casinos. Love of money is bad if gained in corrupted ways. However if you seek the kingdom of God, which is good works, the riches will come to you.
9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

Matthew 6Verse 22 and 23 means see things in perspective. Do not be cross-eyed or judge right away. Narrow-minded people will be enveloped by corrupt thoughts. Verse 24 you cannot serve God and money. Like we said before, seek the kingdom of God first. You use your God-given talents to succeed, then God is your master. Not money. The money or riches is added unto you.
22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. 23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! 24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Romans 2
10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: 11 For there is no respect of persons with God. 12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; 13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. 14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: 15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: 11 For there is no respect of persons with God. 12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; 13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. 14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: 15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
